Letter from the Executive Director

Cheers to 9 years of an epic pARTnership! This year marks our 9th annual Art of Aging Exhibit. Art of Aging is a collaborative effort of Marion Senior Services and Marion Cultural Alliance that celebrates aging through art, stories, and education. Whether one admits this or not, celebrating another birthday can be daunting, especially when the number continues to climb, but that higher number is a blessing and should be celebrated!

This unique exhibit celebrates aging in photographs, lectures, and paintings by Marion Cultural Alliance member artists over 55. This year’s theme is A Moment in Time: Memories Through Art.

The month-long exhibit is graciously sponsored by the Robert Boissoneault Oncology Institute, Urology Institute of Central Florida, Renstar Medical Research, and a host of others. The Art of Aging exhibit is open to the public throughout the entire month of August, concluding on August 30th. During the month, Marion Senior Services will host various receptions and the Gifts of Aging Series, which are educational lunches and learns to promote healthy aging. These events are listed in the following pages.
