Marion County Day 2024

Last month Executive Director Jennifer Martinez and other members of the team joined fellow community leaders, stakeholders, and dignitaries in Tallahassee for the Annual Marion County Day at our State Capitol. They were able to visit with our Legislative Delegation and share with State Leaders the important work that Marion Senior Services is doing to support our elderly community.

They met with staff from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs to discuss the continuation of our Co-Responder Program and highlight other updates and changes happening within the Agency. While they didn't snag many photos, they had many productive conversations and even received a special shout-out from State Representative Stan McClain from the House floor. Last but certainly not least, a special visit for Florida's best BBQ, @mybigleesbbq. We are proud to represent MSS and our clients in Tallahassee, and can't wait to visit again soon!
