Letter from the Executive Director
Happy Fall!
The holiday season is a time for family, friends, and reflection. As we ramp up for the Holiday season, we are preparing for our Thanksgiving Community Day Dinner, Holiday Wonder Lane Event, End-of-Year appeal, and all the excitement in-between.
We are so excited to share that this upcoming Sunday, November 3rd we will have over 100+ seniors attending our free matinee movie event at the Marion Theatre. We will be screening the movie Thelma. Have you heard of Thelma? She's a grandmother who was swindled out of $10,000 and takes a hilarious journey to reclaim what was taken from her. Regardless of age, we are all targets of financial exploitation, but our greater generations are more vulnerable. The movie screening will be followed by a panel discussion on how to protect your loved ones from scams. Don't miss this opportunity to learn vital tips from experts, including the Ocala Police Department, Marion County Sheriff's Office, and the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office. RSVP information can be found below.
This time of year can be a sensitive time for many of our vulnerable elders, who are alone and isolated. Our team works tirelessly to ensure our elders feel safe, secure and loved during the holiday season. If you are interested in supporting our clients during this Holiday Season, please consider contacting our office at (352) 352-620-3501 to learn how to get involved.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Martinez, Executive Director
