Letter from the Executive Director

As summer comes to a close, I reflect on all of the fantastic opportunities, achievements, and blessings that Marion Senior Services has received over the past several months. Last month, our Co-Responder Team had the opportunity to share Best Practices with agency leaders across the State of Florida. This renowned program has gained significant support and recognition across the state and nation. This team works tirelessly to reduce barriers and increase the quality of care for our most vulnerable Seniors. We are proud to share that the program is growing, and we look forward to what the future brings.

August is one of our favorite months at MSS because of our annual Art of Aging Exhibit. This year's exhibit was made especially special with the launch of the Community Calendar. The Community Calendar will be comprised of artwork from the gallery, selected by the community, and for the community. We are excited to know that the spirit of The Art of Aging will remain alive all year long! The artwork selected to feature in the Calendar will be announced in next month's Newsletter, so stay tuned! If you are interested in Pre-ordering a calendar, please email ndobkowski@marionseniorservices.org or visit our website for more details.

As we close out summer, we are gearing up for the Holiday Season. During this time of year, we try to make our seniors feel loved and special, especially those who are home-bound and isolated. Over the next several months, we have a series of events and programs lined up for our clients. If you are interested in getting involved, whether that be as a volunteer or donor, please call (352) 620-3501 to learn more.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Martinez, Executive Director
